Mountain States Interpretive Services

Good communication with your care team is an important part of your healing journey. Regardless of your language or communication needs, Mountain States Health Alliance is committed to providing you with everything you need to communicate with your caregivers so you can better understand your care.

We provide various aids and services free of charge for patients and their companions who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, have low vision, or have limited English proficiency (LEP). Our goal is to help you communicate effectively with us before, during and after treatment.

If you have special communications needs, let us know and we’ll make arrangements to meet your needs. You can make a request for assistance at the time your service is scheduled, during the registration process, to our emergency department staff, or to one of your caregivers at any time during your stay. We can also provide special accommodations at Mountain States-sponsored events or educational classes, if you schedule in advance.

Need to know more? Contact the Mountain States non-discrimination coordinator, Paula Whitehead, at 423-302-3404 or WhiteheadPB@msha.com, or ask to speak to a Mountain States ADA administrator (Americans with Disabilities Act) at any of our hospitals.
