Our Women's Health Services are dedicated to your good health whatever stage of your life. With centers located throughout the Tri Cities, including Johnson City, Kingsport, Southwest VA, Mountain States Health Alliance offers:

Mountain States Health Alliance offers:

  • Nine imaging centers throughout Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia provide convenient diagnostic centers for bone and breast screenings for women with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. The facilities offer comfortable, private settings.
  • Health Resources Centers at two locations provide health screenings and classes related to all aspects of wellness, many specifically for women. Most services are free.
  • From massage to exercise classes to fitness programs specially designed for those with physical limitations, The Wellness Center in Johnson City is designed to promote wellness for women and men of all ages.
  • Nurse navigators are available to breast cancer patients from diagnosis to through treatments to help with all aspects of cancer care.
  • Five cancer care facilities in NE Tennessee and SW Virginia offer conveniently located cancer treatment centers for patients throughout the region.

The Wellness Center

The Wellness Center classes and programs are designed to keep your bones strong, your heart healthy and your body fit. We are committed to improving the fitness of all, including kids, adults and seniors. Health-specific classes aid in post-surgery recovery or focus on your special health needs.

Health Resources Centers

The Health Resources Centers, located in The Mall at Johnson City and Kingsport Town Center, are open to everyone as an outreach service of Mountain States Health Alliance. Browse through books and literature to find current health information or chat with our health professionals to get answers to your questions. Best of all, most services are FREE!

Bone Density Screen

You can find out if you are at risk for osteoporosis – a bone disease common to women, especially after menopause – through a bone density test. Bone density screenings are offered in nine Mountain

Breast Health

Eight of every nine women diagnosed with breast cancer have no family history of the disease. Risk factors like age, weight, diet, lifestyle, menstrual and reproductive history, and family and personal history are important, but early detection is key.

Cancer Care for Women

Mountain States Health Alliance provides extensive Cancer Care services for women.

Gynecological Surgery

Surgery can be an effective treatment for women facing gynecologic conditions such as cancer, fibroid tumors, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, pelvic prolapse, and other conditions.

Heart Care for Women

Mountain States Health Alliance has delivered the latest cardiac treatments and technology in the region for almost four decades.

Screenings

Diagnostic imaging is playing a more vital role in the healthcare needs of women.

Urogynecology

Urogynecology involves the diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence and female pelvic floor disorders.

Dickenson Community Hospital Foundation raises $16,000 through annual WDIC radio auction

Life-saving sepsis initiative by Mountain States, Johnston Memorial Hospital team wins national award

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. & ABINGDON, Va. – A collaborative project launched by clinical teams at Johnston Memorial Hospital and Mountain States Health Alliance has earned national recognition from the Society of Hospital Medicine. Sycamore Shoals Hospital to offer discounted health screenings on April 8

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. – Sycamore Shoals Hospital will host a community health screening on Saturday, April 8, from 7-9 a.m. The screening will provide free blood pressure checks and discounted blood work.
