We are a full-service reference laboratory dedicated to providing a superior level of service with a high degree of personal and professional attention in the Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia regions. Synergy Laboratories is made up of the laboratories of the Mountain States Health Alliance facilities and together, these laboratories offer a full range of services which are certified by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvements Act of 1988), College of American Pathologists and the State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Licensing Board.
Synergy Laboratories is proud to offer, through Mountain States laboratories, comprehensive clinical laboratory testing to physicians to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease or injury. Members of our technical staff are licensed by the State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Licensing Board. We also have team members that are nationally certified by recognized professional agencies. Our healthcare professionals are committed to the highest quality, excellent service and patient-centered care.
The quality of test results is directly related to the integrity of the specimen collected. Proper collection and handling of specimens is critical.

Only medically necessary tests for each patient should be ordered. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Inspector General, takes the position that the physician who orders medically unnecessary tests may be subject to civil penalties.
