Mountain States Health Alliance offers complete cancer treatment in a caring, comfortable atmosphere. Our convenient locations throughout Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee give patients exceptional care, close to home.

Our experienced team of specialists and staff use the most advanced treatment options and technology to help you fight cancer; we also will be with you to provide the support and encouragement you need.

No matter where you are in your cancer journey – whether you’ve been recently diagnosed, are recovering from surgery, in the middle of radiation treatment or five years out – we are here for you and your loved ones.

Comprehensive Specialty Services

Patients with cancer require individual treatment plans tailored to meet their needs. The specialists at Mountain States are equipped with the latest technology and knowledge to offer the best possible treatment options for you.

Triumph Cancer Navigator Program

Open to all patients (regardless of where you receive your treatment), the Triumph Cancer Navigator Program is a FREE service designed to guide patients and their families through their cancer journey. Triumph is a partnership between Mountain States Health Alliance, the American Cancer Society, East Tennessee State University, Susan G. Komen and Vanderbilt Health.  

Triumph Cancer Navigators can help guide you and your family by serving as your personal contact, and answering questions about what to expect throughout your care. Coordinating appointments and treatments. They can arrange care between healthcare providers, and provide emotional support for you and your caregivers. Navigators also offer additional resources relevant to your cancer diagnosis.

Navigators are available for patients in the following Tennessee counties: Carter, Greene, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Washington and Unicoi; and in the following Virginia counties: Dickenson, Marion, Russell, Smyth, Washington and Wise.

Research & Clinical Trials

We participate in clinical trials offered by the National Cancer Institute and East Tennessee State University, along with other major cancer research studies. Our Cancer Care staff will routinely review patient records to determine eligibility for clinical trials.
