Dr. Linda Garceau, certified public accountant (CPA), is the former dean of the College of Business and Technology and professor of accountancy at East Tennessee State University which enrolls over 2,500 students and encompasses programs in business, computer science, engineering technology, digital media, construction management, interior design, fashion and interior merchandising and surveying. She worked at ETSU for 14 years before retiring in 2014.
Dr. Garceau holds master's degrees in accountancy and business administration, and a doctorate of business administration with a specialization in information systems from Boston University. She has published numerous articles on accounting, information systems and data security.
She serves on numerous civic and professional boards and committees, including Mountain States Health System board of directors, the board of the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence, the library board of Johnson City, Junior Achievement of Northeast Tennessee, March of Dimes of Northeast Tennessee, Johnson City Rotary Club, Johnson City Country Club board, and St. Mary’s Church finance committee.
Dr. Garceau and her husband, Al, have two children, Devon and Drew, and three grandchildren.
