Clem Wilkes Jr.
Clem Wilkes, an investment management consultant at Citizens Investment Services, a subsidiary of Citizens Bank Tri-Cities, has served on the Mountain States Health board of directors since its inception in 1998, including tenures as treasurer and as chair of the board, finance committee and investment committee. He has served as a member of the Tennessee Hospital Association Board of Directors and presently serves on the trustee council, where he has served since its inception in 2004.
In addition, Clem currently is a member and past president of the Johnson City Lions Club, on the board of directors for Ties for the Blind Foundation, a member of the East Tennessee State University Foundation and a former chairman and member of the Johnson City Parks & Recreation advisory board.
In 2012, Clem received the Mountain States Foundation Spirit Award for his dedication to and passion for the community. He also has been named a Johnson City Parks & Recreation Wall of Fame member, and received the Milligan College Leader in Christian Service Award. The Johnson City Lions Club named Clem Lion of the Year, Lion of the Decade and a Melvin Jones Fellow. He was included in the Top 20 Program Managers list, as an investment professional, by Bank Investment Consultant magazine in 2009 and 2010.
A lifelong member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Clem serves as a lay Eucharistic minister and visitor as well as serving on its governing board known as the vestry. He also volunteers as a reader at South Side Elementary School.
Clem and his wife, Tonya, have two adult children, Elizabeth and Bo, and one grandchild, Ella.
