Niswonger Children’s Hospital in need of toys for holiday season

Niswonger Children’s Hospital depends on donations this time of year to give kids Christmas while they’re in the hospital. While the kids are tucked in their beds, Santa leaves donated toys outside each hospital room door. Or, they’re given to the parents in advance so families can follow their holiday tradition while in the hospital.

“The children are always worried that Santa won’t know they’re here,” said Melanie Redding, child life program manager at Niswonger Children’s Hospital. “So, we always have Santa visit with them on Christmas Eve morning, so he can reassure them that he knows where they are. Johnston Memorial Hospital again earns EPA’s ENERGY STAR certification for superior energy efficiency
